The department SEE is particularly concerned with following subjects:
  • Analysis of Renewable Energies (biomass, solar radiation, wind energy, geothermal energy, etc) with respect to technological, economic, ecological and socio-political factors,
  • Estimation of energy potentials, micro- and macro-economic evaluation; Integrated and life cycle analysis,
  • Socio-economic impact
  • Integration into the energy system,
  • RES and climate protection,
  • RES in developing countries,
  • New energy technologies,
  • Monitoring of pilot and demonstration plants,
  • Information and technologytransfer,
  • Teaching and education.
